Help Hurricane Victims

Feet of Flooding in a Neighborhood

The onslaught of powerful and destructive hurricanes this year has devastated people and communities from Texas to Florida and across the Caribbean. In response to these storms, AARP and AARP Foundation launched two hurricane relief campaigns that, combined, will provide over $4.4 million to relief and recovery efforts from matched funds and the generosity of more than 30,600 AARP members, donors, and the Miami Dolphins organization. Thank you.

Yet the need remains. Close on the heels of Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Maria followed a similar path across the Caribbean and inflicted additional damage across many of the same islands, with Puerto Rico sustaining catastrophic damage and loss of electricity across the entire island.

Close on the heels of Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Maria followed a similar path across the Caribbean and inflicted additional damage across many of the same islands, with Puerto Rico sustaining catastrophic damage and loss of electricity across the entire island. Seniors have been driven out of their homes and face current dangers as well as an uncertain future.

AARP Foundation's Hurricane Irma disaster relief campaign will remain focused on providing much-needed funds to support disaster victims – especially people over age 50 – in Florida, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Caribbean. To meet their needs, AARP, AARP Foundation AND the Miami Dolphins organization will match – dollar for dollar – contributions up to a total of $750,000.

In collaboration with the AARP state offices in Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, along with relief organizations working in the Caribbean, we will direct 100 percent of all funds raised to organizations providing relief and recovery support to disaster victims. Every dollar will make a difference.

Please make a generous gift today to provide much-needed support to relief efforts.

AARP Foundation is proud of its partnership with the Miami Dolphins and thanks Stephen Ross, owner of the Miami Dolphins, for his generosity in being a part of this match to support those affected by Hurricane Irma.
